A mixed drink's overall alcohol content is diluted by whatever mixers and other ingredients go into it — a cocktail with the same spirits can end up much weaker or stronger depending on how much non-alcoholic mixer is added. This calculator computes a cocktail's overall ABV from up to two alcoholic ingredients and a mixer, and converts the total pure alcohol into US standard drinks (14g pure alcohol each).
Standard drink count is a genuinely useful way to compare how strong a mixed drink actually is, beyond just its listed ABV percentage.
How it works
