A PayPal.Me link lets anyone send you money on PayPal without needing your email address — just your PayPal.Me username. This tool builds that link, optionally with a specific amount and currency pre-filled.
How it works
Enter your PayPal.Me username, and optionally an amount and currency. If no amount is given, the link is just https://paypal.me/{username}. If an amount is given in USD (or no currency is specified), it's appended as /{amount} with no suffix; for a non-USD currency, the lowercase currency code is appended directly after the amount (e.g. /20eur), matching PayPal's own official link format.
- Enter payPal.Me username.
- Enter amount (optional).
- Enter currency code (optional, e.g. EUR).
- Click Calculate to see your results.
Examples
A fixed-amount request
A username with a $20 amount produces paypal.me/username/20 (no currency suffix for USD), while the same amount in euros produces paypal.me/username/20eur.
Who should use it
- Splitting a bill or requesting reimbursement from friends.
- Accepting tips or donations via a shared link.
Industry applications
- Freelancer and small business payment requests
- Personal and social payment requests
Advantages
- No app install or API integration needed — it's just a link.
- Lets you request money without sharing your email address.
Limitations
- Requires the payer to already have or create a PayPal account.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Including "@" or "paypal.me/" in the username field — just enter the bare username itself.
- Specifying a currency without an amount — the currency code only makes sense attached to a specific amount.
Best practices
- Test the generated link yourself to confirm it opens the correct PayPal.Me payment page before sharing it.
- Leave the amount blank for general "buy me a coffee"-style links where the payer should choose the amount.
Tips
- Combine the generated link with a QR code generator to make an easily-scannable print or storefront payment code.
